Dear Mr Finger,
We received your telegram today, but still we were annoyed that you didn’t have an opportunity to send us the food we need. We were very glad to receive proof so promptly of your staying there and proof so immediately of your interest in us. We’ll send you a telegram tomorrow with the address you can use to send us something. The address is Rössler Willy str. Masaryk 7 Chernivtsi. That’s the address of the letter bearer’s address who delivered the letter to you, if the bearer is still in Chernivtsi, we are living with his people in the same house as a Mr. Rössler. Mr. Rössler thinks he is still in C.[hernivci] and will definitely bring us something. But the bearer of this letter is a friend from Radautz, the lawyer Mr. Twers I think, and he will also take a package for
us. If you haven’t sent the money yet to Bucharest to C.H. Brill for Sommer Wolf [Str.] Oituz 2, you can just give it to this gentleman. If Mrs. Danciuk has picked up my c., please ask Dr. Twers to pass on a note to Mr. Danciuk to get him to hand it over to Dr. Twers. If you do give us a package, then maybe you could enclose a fountain pen, thin writing paper and small envelopes, the size of greeting cards, because letters are too big to be delivered. Perhaps also butter, olives, lemons, sausage, jam, candles and whatever else. We can’t get anything at all here, not even the bread and milk we need. Mr. Twers will be back next week or in 2 weeks at the latest, and he goes to Chernivtsi very often. He is a very dear man and is popular with us. If you aren’t able to give anyone anything, prepare a package for us in any case. The things might reach us via someone going to Bucharest to Sommer Wolf at C.H. Brill’s.
