Dear Mrs. and Mr. Zaharasievici!
I think you have been told about our situation and hope that you will help us as you promised. I lost my entire luggage at the station, so I have no more food. It is impossible to find essential things for everyday life, I am in deepest need. I will never forget if you can help us in this dark moment. We urgently need: bacon, sugar, candles, salt (sour salt), butter, potash, and superior soap (you can change that for bread). I urgently need all kinds of food and am grateful for anything you can send. As soon as possible please send me plum jam or jam, honey. These are the most important things, but you can send anything possible. You will get information from the dentist, who delivers our greetings and who will inform you about ways to help us. Thank God we are all in good health. We wish you all the best and send you kind regards.
