To Mrs Bindewald
Moghilau, December 14th, 1941
Dear Madam,
Taking the opportunity to send a few lines to you as well. My family and I are in utter misery and distress and we urge you to save us at this last moment. Otherwise we will be approaching a certain and agonizing death. We are in such bad shape that you would not recognize us at all anymore. I ask you, dear Madam, to discuss everything with Mr Prosser and to go to Czernowitz or Jassy, in order to speed up our case with Mr K personally. Prof Prosser will reimburse the expenses. We will give you our everlasting thanks and we will make up for all your efforts personally. You are saving the lives of 5 innocent people.
The documents are with you, not all of them though. Prof Prosser will tell you what is worth knowing about our various merits. Save us, dear Madam, at this last hour or it will be too late. Many kind wishes,
Yours ever gratefully, Phöbus Schwind
